househeads anonymous

These are the Twelve Steps to House as defined by Househeads Anonymous:

1. We admitted we were powerless over House—that our lives had become unmanageable without it.
2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity... namely House music.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of Jack as we understood Him and his Box.
4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of our Vinyl Crates.
5. Admitted to Jack, to ourselves, and to other dancers the exact nature of our love for House Beats.
6. Were entirely ready to have Jack remove all bad music from our lives.
7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shyness and let our freak flag fly on the dancefloor.
8. Made a list of all House DJs we had missed, and became willing to make it to their next show.
9. Made direct amends to dance wherever possible, except when to do so would injure other dancers like in a breakdancing circle or something.
10. Continued to take personal inventory of our past favorite fly-by-night genres and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through dancing and spinning to improve our conscious contact with Jack as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His Will for us and the power to dance like a silly goose.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to non-househeads, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

"Hi, my name is Derek and I've liked house music for about 20 years."
